Wendy Player
Wendy Player has received supports from the Sumter County DSN Board's SLP II program for 27 years. She enjoys having her own apartment, as she has more freedom and can "do her own thing."
Wendy is a member of People Power, the local self-advocacy group, of which she is currently the secretary/treasurer. She also works in The Little Country Store, a snack bar operated by People Power in the Adult Program. Wendy enjoys working on needlepoint projects, watching movies and playing games on her tablet.
Wendy was very surprised and proud to receive the award. She proudly displays her award on her apartment wall, by her front door.
